Job description

Client: Federal Government (details TBA)
Hours: full-time
Location: Sydney or Canberra
Work-Style: Hybrid
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 12 months + 2 extensions
Pay Rate: $850 - $950 per day + superannuation
Checks: Australian citizenship, ability to obtain Baseline security clearance, 2x reference checks

Key Accountabilities:
  • Manage competing priorities and strategic directions when achieving change planning and project outcomes in line with agency goals and objectives.
  • Provide a significant contribution to innovation and business improvement strategies including the development of a change management framework to support program and project management across the Agency.
  • Develop, implement and evaluate change management requirements, plans and schedules in accordance with the Change Management best practice.
  • Lead the tracking and evaluation of change management activities in the Agency and propose recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Plan and monitor work processes, direct and coordinate quality assurance practices and set performance indicators.
  • Ensure that change readiness assessments are completed, areas of resistance are identified, and mitigating activities are in place
  • Engage and collaborate with key stakeholders to identify opportunities, achieve outcomes and facilitate cooperation to support organisational change.
  • Influence and advise project sponsors on how to effectively manage and implement change.

Candidate Profile:
  • Extensive experience in Organisational Change Management and application of structured methodologies to lead change management activities within complex delivery contexts.
  • Experience in government and digital transformation / ICT-related environments would be highly desirable.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in psychology, social science, communications, business management, business administration, or related field, or equivalent work experience would be desirable
