Responsibilities of the role: 
  • Processing the various fortnightly pay runs.
  • Timely resolution of employee enquiries.
  • Efficient management of onboarding and offboarding employees.
  • Oversight and management of payroll modules, time and attendance rostering system.
  • Oversee employee salary packaging processing, working with our external provider/s. 
  • Competence in interpretation of awards/agreements.
  • Calculate, verify, and administer leave reports and leave provisions.
  • Oversee preparation of superannuation reconciliations and payments.
  • Keep up to date with relevant legislation information, (i.e., changes to ATO requirements, Superannuation, Awards, and relevant Enterprise Agreement/s).
  • Supporting the overall development of the payroll function including continuous improvement processes systems and processes.
  • Payroll reconciliations and reporting (e.g., PAYG, Super, Salary Sacrifice etc.)
  • Participate in payroll related month end tasks and financial audits.
  • Participate in the Fringe Benefit Tax annual return
  • Oversee Workcover related tasks and annual returns.
  • Assist with adhoc payroll related reporting requests.
  • Contribute to the quality of payroll information to ensure audit requirements are being met
About you: 
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar end to end role within payroll.
  • Experience using Aurion advantageous 
  • Demonstrated multi-tasking, investigation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, and thoroughness in dealing with queries and issues.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills, and the ability to work with multiple systems 
  • Drive to achieve continuous improvement in the overall payroll processes.
  • Willingness to learn and a ‘can do’ attitude.
