Job description

DFP Recruitment are partnering with an organisation who provide consulting services, managed IT services and enterprise solutions in security, development and emerging tech such as blockchain, NFTs, cryptocurrency and smart contracts.
As they continue to grow nationally, they are now looking to bring into their collaborative team, a Business Development Manager to be based in their Sydney CBD office.
This is a permanent position offering up to $150,000 + Superannuation + Commission.

Role:
The Business Development Manager (BDM) is responsible for driving the growth of managed services within our organization. The BDM will be focused on identifying and securing new business opportunities, building strong customer relationships, and achieving revenue targets. The objective is to expand their customer base, increase market share, and drive revenue growth through the sale of their managed services offerings.

Core Responsibilities:
· Identify and prospect new business opportunities for managed services, targeting key industries and market segments.
· Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential clients, industry trends, and competitive positioning.
· Build a robust sales pipeline and consistently meet or exceed sales targets.
· Develop and execute effective sales strategies and tactics to drive revenue growth.
· Engage in consultative selling, understanding customer needs and providing tailored solutions.
· Collaborate with internal teams, including pre-sales, delivery, and marketing, to develop compelling proposals and presentations for prospective clients.
· Negotiate and close contracts, ensuring favorable terms and conditions for both parties.
· Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers within target accounts.
· Act as the primary point of contact for customers, understanding their business objectives, challenges, and requirements.
· Provide exceptional customer service and support, addressing client concerns and issues promptly and effectively.
· Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and market dynamics related to managed services.
· Continuously enhance product and industry knowledge to effectively position and differentiate our offerings.
· Monitor competitor activities, pricing strategies, and market share to develop competitive sales approaches.
· Provide feedback to internal teams on market trends, customer needs, and competitive insights.

Key Capabilities:
· Proven track record in achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth in the managed services industry.
· Strong understanding of sales processes, methodologies, and best practices.
· Excellent negotiation, presentation, and closing skills.
· Comprehensive knowledge of managed services, including IT infrastructure, cloud solutions, security, and support services.
· Understanding of market dynamics, customer requirements, and competitive landscape.
· Ability to analyse market trends, identify opportunities, and develop effective sales strategies.
· Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to establish and nurture relationships with clients, partners, and internal stakeholders.
· Ability to build trust, credibility, and rapport with customers, influencing decision-making processes.
· Strong networking skills to expand professional connections and leverage referrals.
· Self-motivated and driven to achieve and exceed sales targets.
· Demonstrated ability to prioritize, manage time effectively, and handle multiple projects concurrently.
· Resilience and persistence in pursuing new business opportunities and overcoming challenges.
· Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including pre-sales, delivery, and marketing.
