The Position
The Maintenance Technician, as part of the Production Team, collaborates with the Production Manager and other team members to uphold a professional and safe culture within the business.
This role is pivotal in executing the Plastic Fabrications Strategic Plan and implementing LEAN methodologies, with key responsibilities including meeting production standards, achieving KPIs, driving continuous improvement and demonstrating expertise in fabrication and welding.

The Position

Key responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Maintain high safety standards and be able to recognise potential hazards
- Use your experience and technical skills to deliver high quality metal welding
- Complete on-site inspections, repair and maintenance work
- Prepare materials, fabricate product components and parts according to Standard Operating Procedures, cutting lists, jigs, and drawings to meet the production plans
- Have a good mechanical knowledge and practical understanding of fitting & turning
- You will maintain accurate activity records
- Maintain all work equipment including tools whilst keeping a clean and safe work environment
- Qualification in welding preferred or 5 years plus demonstrated experience
- Technically competent with high attention to detail in welding
- Be able to problem solve and work independently with initiative
- A strong understanding of Safety and OHS requirements
- Competent in interpreting drawings and job instructions
- Forklift licence
