Job description

  • Federal Government opportunity in Sydney CBD – with hybrid flexibility
  • 12 months initial contract with view to further extension
  • $90 – 104.00 per hour + super
 
The Role
 
Our client is seeking an experienced Program Delivery Officer to provide strategic advice of programs/projects and work closely with the Director Program Delivery Management.
 
Key responsibilities will include:
  • Provide Executive assurance, through oversight, on the governance of programs/projects
  • Provide strategic advice of program/project governance, development and implementation
  • Track monitoring and reporting on program/projects, for both internal boards and external agencies
  • Develop professional centre of excellence for program/project management governance
  • Develop key messages and communications to support governance process of program/projects
  • Manage internal and external stakeholder engagement activities as appropriate throughout project lifecycles, ensuring both stakeholder relationships and administrative requirements are managed successfully
  • Provide written and verbal advice to management and stakeholders
  • Work collaboratively with a range of delivery partners and stakeholders, both internal and external, to delivery effective outcomes of program/projects
  • Support Directors by providing leadership in project/program governance areas to maintain program continuity on an as needed basis
  • Demonstrate capability in line with the Integrated Leadership System at the EL1 level
 
Mandatory Skills and experience:
  • Demonstrated research, analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to build and develop effective internal and external stakeholder relationships
  • Personal drive and integrity - including the ability to engage appropriately with risk and manage upwards
  • Demonstrated Program/project management experience in a similar role
  • Experience working with Digital Transformation and Finance (benefits, assurance and governance) would be highly regarded
