DFP Perth have a fantastic opportunity to work for one of our Federal Government Clients located in Perth CBD within the Disability sector. We are looking for a Program Manager for a 12-month contract with strong view for extension.
 
About the Role

The Community Engagement and Communications Branch provides engagement and communication solutions and advice. They lead development and implementation of multi-channel engagement and communication strategies to support key initiatives across the organisation and drive engagement with key internal and external audiences. The branch collaborates with business areas to map, plan and deliver engagement and communications activities that support their projects and reach intended audiences and build their capacity. They guide business areas on the execution of their engagement and communications activities and provide best practice engagement and communications advice.

The EL1 Program Manager is accountable under broad direction to undertake very complex work that delivers quality outcomes across the organisation. The position is a team membership position that has a concurrent requirement to resolve issues and risks across a broad range of activities of substantial depth involving significant detail and to provide support to the team leadership of their work area in the planning and coordination of the team.

The EL1 Program Manager will lead and manage delivery teams and/or programs of work to plan, develop, deliver, monitor and evaluate a portfolio of strategic projects, to achieve project outcomes, and support achievement of organisational objectives.
The position is responsible for actively managing key internal and external stakeholder relationships and may be required to represent and negotiate on behalf of the organisation to advance interests across a range of forums.

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
  • Leading the development and delivery of a portfolio of projects, identifying interdependencies and leveraging resources to maximise efficiencies and achieve required organisation outcomes.
  • Overseeing the development, management and implementation of project plans and schedules in accordance with the Agency’s project management framework and consider project interdependencies.
  • Contributing to project design, governance arrangements and operational integration.
  • Ensuring project deliverables and milestones are met on time and within budget.
  • Developing and managing internal stakeholder relationships through the provision of expert advice, effective communication, negotiation, and issues management to ensure stakeholders are engaged throughout the projects and project deliverables are met.
  • Reporting on project outputs to stakeholders and overseeing regular project reporting including status updates and exception reports.
  • Preparing and reviewing written material including business cases, plans, executive briefs and corporate documentation.
  • Identifying, assessing, managing, escalating, reporting and monitoring project risks, issues and benefits, including developing treatment strategies.
  • Analysing project performance and coordinate quality management to ensure that project deliverables are fit for purpose.
