Our Federal Government department based in Townsville is looking for an experienced design and publications professional to join their team on a temporary contract due to commence 8 January 2024 through to 30 June 2024.

Duties will include but not limited to:
- Provide graphic design services in hard copy and website including graphs, maps, table and info graphics.
- Plan and deliver printing services including concepts and designs.
- Writing specifications and manage supplies for design and printing services.
- Meeting all deadlines with Quality Assurance and proof reading.
- Develop and maintain productive working relationships with a range of stakeholders to facilitate the work of the complaints handling function.
- Actively participate in an environment where learning and information sharing is encouraged.

- Qualifications in graphic design or relevant demonstrated experience in a related area.
- Experience with the Adobe software suite (InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop) and Microsoft Word.
- High level of experience in production and dissemination of information products incorporating contemporary design methods and knowledge of printing techniques.
- Your previous work reflects the corporate style and is appropriate for the audience and purpose.
- The successful applicant must hold Australian citizenship at time of application.
- Desirable:
- Qualifications in project management.
- Demonstrated experience in design and/or production of scientific information.
