Are you an experienced Project Engineer with strong capability in high-voltage transmission and feasibility study development? We are seeking a skilled and proactive professional to support our Lead Engineer across a range of technical, coordination, and project delivery activities for major Pilbara Programs.
This role acts as the Lead Engineer’s key support resource and coordination focal point, ensuring high‑quality technical outcomes across feasibility study deliverables and preliminary engineering works.
About the Role
As the Project Engineer, you will be responsible for coordinating transmission substation design activities, managing contractor deliverables, and supporting the development of all feasibility study documentation. Reporting to the Lead Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring technical integrity, schedule alignment, and high‑quality outputs across the program.

Key Responsibilities
Engineering & Technical Coordination
- Supervise and coordinate preliminary engineering for transmission substations.
- Lead coordination of contractor site surveys and field work.
- Support technical assessment and evaluation of vendor proposals.
- Assist in developing feasibility study deliverables, including:
- Capital cost estimates
- Work schedules
- Risk assessments
- O&M estimates
- Basis of Design documentation
- Review and conduct quality checks on contractor deliverables.
- Provide input into project management deliverables as required.
- Serve as a central coordination point across engineering stakeholders and contractors.
Essential:
- Degree in Engineering (Electrical or Civil preferred) or suitable trade qualification.
- WHS qualification (not compulsory).
Essential:
- High‑voltage transmission substation design.
- Pilbara-based high-voltage infrastructure and construction environments.
- Feasibility study requirements for detailed or bankable studies.
Essential:
- 10 years' experience in large capital project development.
- Strong background preparing detailed or bankable feasibility studies for large T&D infrastructure.
- 10 years’ experience in high-voltage transmission.
- Recent design office experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Construction contractor experience.
- Commissioning experience on large transmission assets.
- HV protection knowledge.
- Experience with Microsoft P6.
