The Client
Our client is an Australian Success storey, having opened their first Café in Tasmania in 1984, they have grown to over 40 Franchises. With strong values in sourcing locally grown ingredients they aim to deliver quality products and service to their customers.
 
The Position
With a passion for bringing out the best in their people, our client is looking for an enthusiastic and passionate individual to join their team. The successful applicant will be flown to Tasmania for one week of training at their Head office.
 
The position will cover all aspects of managing and encouraging the sales team in performing at a high standard.
 
The Café operates 7 days a week and the Sales Manager is requested to be available for a range of shifts within the store operating hours of 5am to 8pm.
 
Key responsibilities will include:
 
  • Manage sales staff to meet company guidelines in all areas of people development, sales, and quality
  • Recruitment processes including hiring and on the job training of new Sales team members
  • Rostering, costing, and budgeting of sales roster
  • Front counter marketing strategies
  • Exceptional customer service inclusive of food preparation
  • Identify system improvements and implement change
  • Administrative duties including records maintenance, inventory, and ordering

  • Experience in Retail Management or Hospitality Management
  • A qualification relating to Retail Management, Training or Operations (desirable)
  • An ability to maintain and exceed a high standard of customer service
  • Good knowledge of people management and recruitment processes
  • Strong communication skills
