Job description

  • Hybrid opportunity in Barangaroo, Sydney
  • $500/day + super 
  • Initial contract until 30 June’24 with possibility of extension
The Senior Fund Accountant is responsible for the integrity of the accounting information ensuring the general ledgers accurately reflect the value of the assets and liabilities of the various Funds administered. Reporting responsibilities include timely preparation of financial accounts, tax, reconciliations & work papers. In addition, the Senior Fund Accountant has responsibility for the oversight of accounting information prepared by external service providers.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
  • Preparing Bank Reconciliations
  • Preparing daily cash flows
  • Reviews accounting journal entries posted to the general ledger.
  • Prepares client-specific weekly, monthly, or quarterly accounting reports (examples include: preparation of cash flow reports, expense reports, statement of financial position and performance, trial balance reporting).
  • Reconciles tax provisions.
  • Identifies opportunities to enhance processes and develop practical solutions.
  • Develops and maintains written procedures for critical processes.
  • Ad Hoc projects
You will Have:
  • Proficient in financial analysis, bank reconciliations, and daily cash flow management.
  • Experienced in reviewing journal entries, preparing client-specific reports, and reconciling tax provisions.
  • Identifies opportunities to enhance processes, develops practical solutions, and maintains written procedures.
  • Manages ad hoc projects, ensuring efficiency and adapting to changing priorities.
