About the client:

Our client is looking for 1x Level 7 Management Accountant - Team Leader to join their team ASAP through to 31/03/2024 - there will be a permanent opportunity at this point for you to apply too. Our client is a major State Government located on 140 William Street near public transport. 

Benefits:
  • ASAP Start Date (pending Police Check) - Notice periods are acceptable. 
  • Full Time Hours – Monday to Friday - Casual position in the sense that there are no leave entitlements
  • Temporary assignment until 31/01 with likely extension until March/April while the client runs a fixed term/permanent processes which you would be able to apply too. 
  • Perth CBD location, WA
  • $80.00-86.00 per hour + super - This includes casual loading 
About the role:
  • Leads the activities of the Budget Strategy Section and develops financial strategies to support the business in obtaining the financial resources to deliver on the Departments statement of strategic intent. Ensures the timely and accurate financial reporting with respect to RfR project and EF acquittals

About you

Role specific
  1. Extensive experience in managing budgets in a large complex environment, including the review and analysis of budget submissions to the State Government.
Desirable criteria
  1. Knowledge of the WA State Budget and Estimates Committee process.
  2. Knowledge of Commonwealth, Royalties for Regions and Industry Funding arrangements impacting upon the WA State Budget.
  3. Experience with the Department of Treasury Strategic Information Management System.
Special requirements/equipment
  • Possession of a tertiary qualification in Accounting or a related discipline.
  • Full Membership of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand or CPA Australia or the National Institute of Public Accountants.
  • An acceptable National Police Certificate (police clearance) is required. If not currently held, must be acquired prior to commencement at applicant’s expense.
  • Occasional travel to and from metropolitan and regional offices may be required.
