DFP Recruitment is seeking a Senior OT Networks Officer for our state government client. This role exists to maintain and expand the Operational Technology (OT) network and associated systems, whilst ensuring they remain secure and highly available.
Key accountabilities
- Ensure the OT Network and other critical systems perform effectively and are managed in accordance with the OT service management model, ensuring changes are planned, reviewed and implemented in accordance with OT change management processes.
- Respond to incidents and outages promptly and effectively, ensuring specific and timely communications service desk, management and stakeholders from the commencement to return to service.
- Develop and maintain an appropriate cybersecurity response including proactive monitoring, together with development, peer review and implementation of suitable firewall rules.
- Document the environment, ensuring up to date performance requirements, appropriate configuration information and work instructions are maintained.
- Monitor the performance of the OT Network adjusting and carrying out preventive maintenance or recommending capacity improvements where appropriate.
- Report on compliance with external standards.
- Experience in Cico network, MPLS Network Skills
Key challenges
- Maintaining a highly available, up to date, secure, public facing OT network with limited maintenance windows given the 24/7 operating environment.
- Establishing relationships with stakeholders and service providers so as to create a healthy working relationship based upon clear and open communications.
- Development of a knowledge base and other support documentation with limited available information.
- Shifts are on rotation bases every 6 weeks.
