Senior Procurement Lead

Job description

About the Client
Our client is a major organisation with a national footprint and a strong reputation for operational excellence and commercial discipline. They oversee large, complex procurement portfolios that drive strategic outcomes across critical infrastructure and technology programs.
As part of a growing commercial function, they are seeking experienced Contracts Leads to support the management of high-value supplier agreements and deliver significant business value.

About the Role
As a Contracts Lead, you’ll manage a portfolio of 10–20 agreements with an annual spend typically between $50–$100 million. You’ll oversee the full contract lifecycle — from negotiation and execution through to supplier performance and continuous improvement — ensuring procurement outcomes deliver value, efficiency, and compliance.
In this role, you will:
  • Lead negotiations to secure favourable commercial outcomes and mitigate contractual and supply chain risks.
  • Execute and manage Procure-to-Pay (PtP) processes in compliance with sourcing and governance frameworks.
  • Maintain a dynamic contract portfolio — ensuring scope, pricing, and amendments are current and value-driven.
  • Monitor supplier performance and ensure ongoing contract compliance.
  • Drive process improvements and efficiencies through procurement systems and tools.
  • Partner with key stakeholders to align contracts with broader category and business strategies.
  • Leverage market insights to inform sourcing decisions and enhance commercial outcomes.
This is a strategic, hands-on role where you’ll shape major procurement initiatives and deliver tangible business impact. The positions are set to commence in early 2026.

About You
You’re an experienced procurement or contracts professional, ideally with exposure to IT procurement or oil and gas sector environments. You bring a strong commercial mindset, deep understanding of complex contract frameworks, and a proven ability to engage and influence stakeholders across all levels.
You bring:
  • Demonstrated experience managing high-value, complex contracts — ideally within IT, engineering, or energy sector portfolios.
  • Strong negotiation, sourcing, and supplier management expertise.
  • Sound knowledge of Procure-to-Pay (PtP) processes and procurement systems.
  • Proven ability to apply a compliance and governance lens while driving efficiency.
  • Strategic thinking, strong analytical capability, and exceptional relationship management skills.
  • A proactive and solutions-focused approach to delivering measurable business outcomes.
