As Supply Planner, you’ll ensure stores have the right stock at the right time, maximising sales and promotional execution. You’ll partner closely with Planners, Buyers and Distribution Centres to plan allocations, manage promotional orders and track performance across a large retail network.

About the Role
As Supply Planner, you’ll ensure stores have the right stock at the right time, maximising sales and promotional execution. You’ll partner closely with Planners, Buyers and Distribution Centres to plan allocations, manage promotional orders and track performance across a large retail network.
Key responsibilities
- Allocations: Build, update and analyse allocation models; select the right allocation method by product and situation; facilitate adjustments to hit sell‑through targets.
- Purchase Orders: Raise accurate, timely POs for direct‑to‑store merchandise and promotional orders; secure approvals; liaise with DCs for receipting and inventory management.
- Quantification: Work with the Planner and Buying team to quantify allocations from sales forecasts for promotions, new lines and short‑lifecycle ranges.
- Analysis: Monitor sell‑through, in‑stock positions (stores & DCs) and promotional execution; track catalogue features and identify risk; complete ad‑hoc analysis and recommend improvements.
- Stakeholder service: Respond to store, franchise and operations queries promptly and professionally; communicate with positive intent.
- Product life cycle: Activate replenishment for new articles and manage discontinued/non‑standard SKUs in line with policy.
About You
You’re a proactive, commercially minded planner who thrives in FMCG/retail cycles and can balance competing priorities with clarity.
- FMCG or major supermarket experience in supply planning, demand planning, inventory or logistics (e.g., promotional cycles, DC/store network, supplier/retailer interfaces).
- Advanced Excel and strong systems savvy.
- Ability to link supply decisions to business outcomes and drive continuous improvement.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and clear, honest communication.
- Retail/pharmacy/beauty category exposure.
- Experience with enterprise planning/ERP tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle, JDA/Blue Yonder) and store/DC collaboration.
- Proven delivery on timelines and change initiatives.
