Job description

DFP Perth are currently seeking a System Analyst for a 6 month contract with our state government client located in East Perth.

The successful candidate should have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in systems analysis and will work closely with a team of product owners, technology stakeholders and software developers to analyse & migrate on-premise systems to cloud platform in the Cloud Transition project.

Responsibilities:
  • Work with Team Lead to develop migration schedule of systems
  • Analyse and evaluate systems to determine interface complexity and migration viability
  • Liaise with business users to document system functionality and features
  • Develop work packages for technology teams to execute migration process
  • Support Test Team to verify documented functionality and features
  • Document changes between new and legacy systems
  • Publish finalised artefacts as per the migration processes
  • Develop work packages for technology teams to decommission applications
  • Work with Scrum Master to carry out assigned sprint tasks in a timely manner
  • Work and collaborate with technical leads and solution architects to draft system specifications as input into the technical development team(s).
  • Work and collaborate with testing team members to support the development of test scripts.
Required Experience:
  • Proven work experience as a systems analyst
  • Hands on experience with software development and documentation
  • Proven knowledge of business information systems
  • Experience working in an Agile environment (e.g. Agile, SCRUM, Kanban)
  • Experience with a variety of technologies (e.g. SQL Server, Microsoft OS, .NET, Java, SOAP, Active Directory)
  • Ability to work & communicate with technical and non-technical teams
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving attitude
  • Preference to experience in Microsoft Azure DevOps
  • Preference to experience in similar projects where existing applications have been transformed to run on a cloud platform.

The successful candidate will need to provide a current police clearance and be fully vaccinated against covid-19, including a booster if eligible.
