  • 12-month fixed term contract, view to possible perm

The Role:

The Workforce Manager will effectively manage, report & co-ordinate the allocation of human resources for current and future demand across the portfolio of work within the organisation for projects and the portfolio. The opportunity will focus on the creation and introduction of frameworks, processes, recommendations for effective utilisation of human resources which enables delivery at scale.

Key accountabilities will include but are not limited to:
  • Working with the portfolio office in the allocation of staff to strategic initiatives based on their skills and experience.
  • Co-ordinating the gathering of information related to new hires ensuring information is kept up to date enabling effective decision making.
  • Supporting the Executive team with strategic workforce planning by providing insights and recommendations and implementing them.
  • Providing ongoing workforce management reporting to the executive leadership group to inform decision making.
  • Monitoring utilisation, workload and overtime hours for the in-flight portfolio of work.
  • Mitigating resource concerns by reallocating resources, adjusting goals, or assigning additional staff
  • Assisting with HR processes, such as payroll administration, compensation and benefit plans, and staff training
  • Collaborating on resource management with internal departments
  • Documenting and updating workforce management processes in alignment to new business opportunities ang global initiatives.
  • Completing reviews and information papers on the changes in the labour market including trends in resource management
  • Leading the gathering and maintenance of accurate data sources required for effective workforce management
The successful candidate will have the following:
  • Commercial acumen, with a customer focussed ‘can do’ attitude.
  • Effective communication with the ability to communicate across all business levels/ Supports and solicits input from team members at all levels within the organisation.
  • Proven success championing workforce management practices.
  • Ability to reinforce standard frameworks and practices on an ongoing basis.
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources management, or similar
  • A post-secondary qualification in business management or finance will be advantageous.
  • At least 5 years’ experience in resource management or logistics in a similar industry.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills
  • In-depth knowledge of market trends for labour and workforce management
