Our state government client is seeking a Workforce Planner/Scheduler for a 6 month temporary assignment in the Perth CBD.

About the Role:

Our client is in the process of preparing to deploy a new Microsoft Dynamics “Power Roster” tool  to multiples sites across regional Western Australia.  This will provide a standard roster creation and collection point for some 100 medical rosters that also include multiple departmental rosters.
To support the regional sites with rostering, a new Scheduling Workforce team has been established. This team are currently assisting project with the initial creation and entry of all regional rosters into Power Roster and will then provide ongoing support to regions in the areas of roster creation/maintenance/publishing/reporting along with training new users and responding to end user queries on the rostering system.

Technical Skills
Rostering experience –
  • Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience working on multiple personnel/departmental rosters for a large organisation or within health industry.
  • Understand shifts/roster patterns/allocation of resources onto rosters.
  • Troubleshooting - ability to identify errors in rosters, analyse and make informed adjustments when required.
  • Maintain version control of rosters.
  • Publish and distribute rosters using variety of methods, i.e. email, notifications, upload onto multiple sites, etc, for multiple audiences.
  • Rostering Processes – ability to define, create and articulate rostering process to multiple stakeholder types including rostering and non-rostering personnel.
  • Maintain rostering audit records and management of rostering workloads.
Software Skills –
Strong Microsoft Office with medium to advanced Microsoft Excel – ability to export data, create pivots, develop reports from exported data.

Non - Technical Skills
The role will require service support to multiple regions with stakeholders typically working in high pressure, no time environments. Requirements would include:
  • Team Player and comfortable working within a team.
  • Quickly assess engagement environment, pressures and adapt communication approach accordingly.
  • Strong communication skills with excellent patience and listening skills.
  • Handle ongoing administrative rostering tasks with attention to detail and maintain accuracy.

Additional Requirements:
  • Previous rostering experience in health/medical industry – familiarity with medical terminology.
  • Previous experience in Call Centre Support Roles/Customer Service Roles.
  • Microsoft Dynamics.
  • Ability to work from home, if required.
  • COVID third dose vaccinated.
