Job description

Our State Government client is seeking experienced Administration Officer's to join their team for a 3 month period (with a possible extension) to commence immediately.

You will provide efficient and effective support by performing a range of administrative support duties in a timely, accurate, confidential and high volume environment. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in administration, with the ability to prioritise competing workloads.  Legal experience is desirable but not essential.

The responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
  • Provide accurate and timely services in the areas of word processing, spreadsheets, task registers and database work.
  • Accurately file note all communication with applicants and external agencies.
  • Monitoring work emails and taking appropriate and immediate steps to action (e.g. update calendars, databases or refer matter to relevant officer).
  • Undertake general office and administrative duties including filing, movement of large volumes of physical files, photocopying, requesting and receipting information, receiving deliveries.
  • Participate in relevant training to maintain up-to-date information.
  • Assist senior staff with training new Administrative Officers and provide feedback to supervisors and senior staff to identify opportunities for business improvement and amendments to the training materials.
