We are partnering with a long-established not-for-profit education provider committed to transforming lives through learning across Gippsland. As the organisation enters an exciting new phase of growth, we are seeking a highly capable General Manager – Operations and Finance to join the executive team.
This is a pivotal leadership opportunity to influence strategic direction while ensuring operational excellence across a multifaceted education environment that includes both a secondary school and a registered training organisation (RTO).

- Financial strategy and management, including budgeting, statutory reporting, and audit coordination
- Business operations, risk management, and compliance across all sites
- Facilities and capital works management
- Oversight of ICT infrastructure and internal support services
- Leadership of high-performing teams across finance, administration, and business support
- Contribution to governance and strategic planning at the executive level
About You
You’re an experienced senior leader with a track record of driving business operations in a values-led environment. You’re financially astute, people-focused, and confident navigating complex stakeholder relationships.
Key Skills and Experience
- Executive-level experience in operations and/or corporate services
- Strong financial management capability; accounting qualifications preferred
- Proven ability to lead, inspire, and develop diverse teams
- Experience managing capital works and facilities operations
- Sound understanding of compliance, governance, and risk frameworks
- Sector experience in education, community services, or not-for-profit highly regarded
- Executive role within a purpose-driven organisation
- Significant scope to shape strategy and lead positive change
