Pay Rate: $53.33 – 56.27 per hour + Super

Role Overview: The Business Support Team at our Federal Government client is looking for an Administration officer who is looking for a challenging and rewarding opportunity. The position provides both face-to-face and virtual support to our growing workforce, focussing on general administration and record keeping, travel arrangement, postage (incl. couriers), stationery upkeep, and providing assistance with staff security cards.

Key Responsibilities;
- The delivery of the administrative activities across two offices
- Booking travel for managers and staff
- Coordinating property maintenance requests
- Maintaining administrative operating procedures
- Answering reception phone and visitor ‘meet & greets’
- Coordinating mail and couriers
- Ordering and maintaining stationery and general office supplies/equipment
- Assisting with security card management
- The provision of advice and training to staff on travel and other administrative processes, to ensure consistency with Commonwealth/department policies and practices
- Maintaining consistent and up-to-date record keeping processes, and managing relevant reporting requirements
- Assisting team colleagues in the BSU, as required.
Essential to be successful in this role:
- Must be an Australian Citizen
- Candidates must be willing and able to undertake and maintain a Pre-Employment Suitability Assessment (includes a national police check), and a Baseline Security Clearance
- Experience working within a government organisation
- Substantial experience in an administrative or office management role, working constructively under limited direction.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills across both internal and external environments.
- The ability to effectively manage a number of competing priorities.
- Strong judgement and high-level attention to detail.
- The ability to interpret and follow policy and processes, and to assist staff in meeting their corporate obligations.
- A history of achieving continuous improvement in the delivery of administrative and office management services.
