Job description

Our client provides individual, couples and family counselling to help improve resilience as well as enhancing mental health wellbeing.
 
As a Clinician your responsibilities will include:
  • Triaging and coordinating intakes and referral of clients to the regions for allocation to services. This will include referrals of individuals, couples, families and complex and potentially high risk cases via a number of referral pathways.
  • Provision of high-quality clinical services including assessment and referral, evidence based individual, couple and family counselling, and case management to eligible clients in order to achieve outcomes identified in care planning processes.
  • Provision of specialised counselling intervention tools and models dependent on client needs and ensuring work is carried out to a high standard of professionalism, efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Ensuring risk assessment and safety planning is completed during intake calls and appropriate follow up action taken.
  • Applying quality assurance principles and procedures to ensure the clinical practice, reporting and invoicing activities of outreach counsellors meet contractual requirements.
  • Participation in and contribution to ongoing learning and development activities and maintenance of professional status.
To be successful you will have:
  • Qualifications as a registered Psychologist / Mental Health Occupational Therapist / Mental Health Registered Nurse with full AHPRA registration or
  • Qualification as a Social Worker eligible for membership of the AASW and eligibility for Mental Health accreditation.
  • A Masters level Counselling qualification and registration with PACFA as a Registered Clinical Counsellor or with ACA at Level 3 or 4.
  • Working with Children (WWC) and/or Vulnerable People Checks/Clearance must be obtained prior to commencement.
  • An Australian Citizen and willing to undertake a National Police Clearance and AGSVA Clearance.
In return you will receive:
  • A 24 month contract + possible extension
  • $60 - $65 p/h + penalities + super
  • Ongoing training and development
