Job description

Our government client is seeking a detail-oriented Business Support Officer to join their team in Caboolture. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong administrative and financial support skills to contribute to the smooth operation of a busy government office.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Accurately entering data into computer systems, including financial information for billing purposes.
  • Creating and dispatching work orders and purchase requisitions to contractors.
  • Monitoring and managing a shared inbox using Microsoft Outlook.
  • Using Microsoft Excel to collate, extract, and interpret data.
  • Following up with contractors and internal staff regarding work orders.
  • Answering and directing telephone queries.
  • Providing administrative support to operational staff and supervisors, including collating information for reports.

Mandatory requirements:
  • Competent in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.

Highly desirable skills:
  • Previous financial administration experience.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work autonomously within agreed parameters.
