Our ACT Government client is seeking a highly skilled Microsoft 365 and Exchange Online Specialist to join the M365 team, responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting cloud-based solutions on the Microsoft 365 platform. The role has a strong focus on Exchange Online and Exchange Server, integrating cloud services with existing on-premises business systems and enterprise applications used across ACT Government.
Must be an Australian Citizen with NV1 clearance.

Role Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate high level understanding and experience supporting of the current versions of:
- Exchange Server 2016 and 2019
- Microsoft 365 Platform
- Exchange Online and Exchange Online Protection (EOP)
- Active Directory
- Azure Active Directory
- Microsoft 365 Technologies – PowerApps, Flow, Teams, PowerBI, M365 app suite
- Microsoft SharePoint (including SharePoint Online and OneDrive for Business)
- Microsoft Exchange and Windows PowerShell
- Microsoft Windows Server and related infrastructure (DNS, DHCP)
- Microsoft Server Operating Systems 2012/2012R2/2016/2019/2022
- Microsoft Systems Centre Operations Manager (SCOM)
- BitTitan Migrationwiz
- Provide Microsoft M365 technical support, on-line maintenance, fault diagnosis and the identification and implementation of remedial action including monitoring and reporting as required.
- Act as a subject matter expert on MS Exchange and M365 platforms providing expert consultation by evaluating Conceptual Designs, creating Conceptual Designs for the client as well as strategic consultation to technical staff, project teams, and senior stakeholders for Microsoft 365-based applications and solutions aligned with ACT Government standards.
- Have a developed ability to script using PowerShell.
- Provide technical leadership across large and complex projects within the M365 space including but not limited to planning and executing migration of M365 Services from external Domains to ACT Government.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure services are provided to the standard required, including preparing, reviewing, and maintaining comprehensive technical documentation.
- This position may be required to participate in an after-hours on-call roster and does not involve direct supervision of staff.
- Proven experience with Microsoft Exchange Online and Exchange Online Protection (EOP)
- Strong hands-on skills with Microsoft Exchange Server 2016 and above
- Advanced PowerShell scripting and administration across Exchange, Exchange Online, and Windows
- Solid experience with the Microsoft 365 platform, including Teams and OneDrive
- Strong knowledge of Active Directory administration
- Experience managing Azure Active Directory, including App Registrations
- Expertise in mail routing and SMTP gateway technologies
- Proven experience administering Windows Server 2012 and above
- Strong understanding of email security and encryption, including TLS, SPF, DKIM, and DMARC
- Proven experience supporting complex and highly available Microsoft Exchange environments running in hybrid mode and involving complex mail routing.
- Experience with migration of mail (on-premises Exchange, Exchange Online) and the use of native and third-party migration tools.
- Strong skills in the support and maintenance of Azure Active Directory, Active Directory and Microsoft 365 groups.
- Good understanding of Azure App Registrations and configuration of least privileged permissions.
- Experience with BitTitan MigrationWiz, DeploymentPro and Enterprise Recon would be highly advantageous
- Knowledge of the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) framework or completion of the ITIL Foundation Certificate would be advantageous.
