Job description

Our government client is seeking 2 x AO4 Procurement Officers to join their team. This key role will see undertake operational purchasing tasks to assist a Strategic Sourcing team meet client needs and outcomes, including ordering goods and services and processing a range of purchase orders ensuring compliance.

As the Procurement Officer, your duties will include but will not be limited to:
  • Providing administrative support to the Strategic Sourcing team, e.g., document reviews, managing email inbox, meeting minutes, etc.
  • Providing support in the development and implementation of Standing Offer Agreements and other key contracts
  • Providing efficient and high standards of customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Review and action procurement related reports, e.g., outstanding purchase orders, basket of goods, etc.
  • Ad hoc duties as required.
To be considered in this role, you will have:
  • Previous experience within Procurement experience
  • High attention to detail.
  • Ability to engage with key stakeholders.
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Formal procurement, purchasing and/or contract management accreditation will be highly regarded including Queensland Purchasing, QGP, CIPS or similar.
