- $75.00 - $94.00 per hour + super
The role
A newly established program of work has recently commenced to enhance the organisations regulatory business systems, including but not limited to case and investigations management.
This newly created Business Analyst role will be dedicated to this program, with a primary focus on supporting the uplift of these critical systems. However, the successful candidate may also be expected to support other projects or Business-As-Usual (BAU) activities as needed.
Key duties and responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Engage with stakeholders to gather detailed business requirements, ensuring they are accurately validated and comprehensively documented for clarity and future reference.
- Develop detailed models of business processes, identifying areas for improvement and recommending enhancements to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.
- Assess and identify potential issues, risks, and benefits associated with existing and proposed solutions, clearly outlining the business impacts to inform decision-making.
- Develop comprehensive functional specifications for proposed solutions, ensuring they meet business requirements and are aligned with strategic objectives.
- Oversee the implementation and testing of solutions, ensuring they are executed according to specifications and meet the desired outcomes.
- Provide support during business transitions, helping to establish and manage change effectively to ensure smooth adoption and integration of new processes and solutions.
- Define and maintain the product vision and roadmap, ensuring alignment with business goals and stakeholder expectations.
- Prioritise and manage the product backlog, translating business requirements into clearly defined user stories and acceptance criteria
- Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and development teams, ensuring clear communication and shared understanding of product goals and priorities.
- Minimum 5 years as a business analyst, product owner or in similar business engagement roles.
- Strong experience in business engagement activities, including large projects.
- Demonstrated experience and skill in generating clear and easily consumable documentation, including SOPs, user stories, and business process workflows.
- Experience with developing product roadmaps and engaging with business owners to achieve outcomes.
- Federal Government experience
- Experience in a Regulatory environment and its associated technologies such as investigations and case management systems.
- Experience with Dynamics365.
- Organisational change management experience.
In order to be considered for this role you must hold Australian Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain national police check and Baseline Security Clearance.
