Job description

Our State Government client is seeking an AO4 Project Officer (Traffic Data) to join their team, in this role you will predominantly coordinate the engagement of contractors to perform traffic surveys for internal clients, which will require you to provide technical advice relating to location, safety and compliance. You will utilise a broad range of computer software programs and information management systems and databases to provide high level support services to project managers and team members, which enhance the timely and effective delivery of projects, ensuring compliance with appropriate legislation, organisational policies, and procedures.


As the Project Support Officer, your responsibilities will include:
  • Lead and coordinate new traffic survey requests, including procurement processes
  • Minor contract management
  • Provide advice on accurate and quality survey requests and road data information
  • Coordinating Microsoft Outlook email inboxes (Traffic Surveys, Traffic Data) including email and folder structure housekeeping
  • Spreadsheet and database maintenance
  • Conducting the process of entering/maintenance of traffic data into corporate systems such as the Traffic Analysis Reporting System.
  • Producing traffic composition reports from corporate systems and software programs to both internal and external customers
  • Attending infrequent site visits
  • Other duties as required 

To be considered for this role, you will have:
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Teams
  • Intermediate Computer Skills
  • Proven communication Skills (stakeholder management)
  • Proven time management skills
  • Willingness to learn new software programs and systems
  • Experience in data analytical skills

  • Due to this role having access to sensitive data, a criminal history check will be undertaken prior to appointment to the role.
