Job description

Our valued State Government client is looking for 2x AO7 Project Managers (Capital Works) to join their team. This key role will involve preparation of project management plan, evaluation of various procurement/delivery methodology and risk and value management.


As the Project Manager, your responsibilities will include:
  • Prepare building construction projects brief, terms of references for consultants and consultancy tender documents.
  • Ensures design is fit-for-purpose / meets design intent, value-for-money, statutory compliances and meets project brief requirements.
  • Prepare tender documents for Design & Construct (non-traditional) and fully documented (traditional) contracts.
  • Oversee project commissioning, handover documentation, defect liability period and understands building maintenance requirements.

To be successful in this role, you will have:
  • Building construction related education.
  • Client-side building construction/upgrade projects management experience
  • Effective in communications and stakeholder management.
  • Ability preparing project reports for management and clients.
  • Ability achieving project targets in terms of time, costs, quality, and client satisfaction.
  • Ability to operate independently and lead project teams comprising of internal and external resources.
  • Manages competing interests of project team members and stakeholders.
  • Can give ad-hoc advice and assistance to project managers reporting to this position.
