 APS 5 - Procurement Officer
  • $55.24/Hourly (+ Super)  
  • Canberra
  • Contract (12-months, possible extension)
About the role
The position is accountable under limited supervision to undertake moderately complex to complex research, analysis, and advice work including legislation, policies, procedures, standards, methodologies, and precedents guide the position as it provides procurement advice.

Duties
  • Providing level administrative support to the Procurement team, managing confidential and sensitive information.
  • Providing procurement advice and support to the broader Agency.
  • Delivering support and advice in relation to compliance with the Commonwealth Procurement Rules (CPRs) and Guidelines, Procurement Policy and procedures.
  • Assisting with tracking value for money based outcomes and preparing reports against KPIs.
  • Preparing a range of procurement related documentation.
  • Drafting correspondence and reports, including emails and letters.
  • Entering, extracting and manipulating data to enable accurate Agency reporting.
  • Contributing to team and branch planning activities including identifying opportunities for improvements.
  • Development of procurement documentation.
  • Collate candidate packages for assessment by the requesting business area.
  • Raise contracts and purchase orders.
  • Maintain a shared database.
  • Respond to enquiries as an SME.
  • Review all documentation received in for accuracy and completeness.
  • Manage the timely on-boarding of successful candidates.
  • Maintain a high level of communication with all stakeholders.
  • Maintain relationships, with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Other duties and projects as requested.
About you 
  • Federal, State or Local Government experience.
  • Understanding of the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Demonstrated experience managing high volume requests and ability to multitask.
  • Ability to remain composed in a changing, fast paced environment.
  • Previous experience using HR and/or Finance business systems.
  • Understanding of procurement or recruitment processes.
  • It is highly desirable that applicants have an understanding or lived experience of disability.
