Job description

We are currently seeking an experienced Administration Officer to join the team within a Federal Government Agency based in Brisbane CBD. This role will be APS4 equivalent, Monday to Friday FT Business hours with initial assignment length of 3 months, and view to extension.

 The Role and Responsibilities

Under general direction, the Administration Officer will provide operational and administrative support. The position will have a considerable level of contact with internal and external stakeholders and will be required to communicate with and provide advice.

 Responsibilities include:
  • Organising the team email inbox, calendars and appointments, responding to team priorities and timeframes
  • Research and responding to general enquiries and analysing documents and data
  • Coordinating and preparing meeting minutes and papers
  • Supporting the drafting of written communications and managing documents and databases
  • Receiving, analysing and recording complaints and feedback
  • Organising travel and finance reconciliation
  • Participating in project management/ recruitment/ prcourement tasks
Key skills include:
  • Strong written and verbal skills
  • Strong engagement with multiple stakeholders
  • Organisation and time management
  • Experience in disability, health or aged care sector preferred
  • Procurement/ Recruitment experience preferred
There will be an opportunity for WFH for up to 2 days per week following training. $43.82 per hour + super.
