Job description

The Role

On behalf of a large Federal Government Agency, we are looking for an APS5 Marketing Officer to join the Media, Marketing and Communications team based in Richmond or Geelong. This is a 12 month assignment, full time hours and will pay $53.63 per hour plus super. 

As the marketing officer you will help the team to deliver strategic and impactful media, marketing and digital solutions. 

Responsibilities include; 
  • Build strategies to strengthen and grow the brand and its advocacy 
  • Undertake content mapping of existing resources to inform content redevelopment planning
  • Copy-writingCopyrighting, editing, publishing public facing content and supporting materials
  • Assist with the preparation, planning and coordination of new market research projects
  • Analyse and interpret findings with meaningful and actionable insights and write proposal and briefs
  • Manage internal and external stakeholders 
  • Provide guidance to the business on a range of marketing functions
  • Administration as required 
You will be able to demonstrate the following;
  • Tertiary qualifications in public affairs, media or marketing, journalism, communications or public relations or equivalent experience
  • Proficient use in Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Experience working in the disability sector and/or an understanding and knowledge of disability and its impacts on individuals 
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to manage confidential and sensitive information
