APS6 Project Officer
The Organisation:
This Government body works with people with disability, providers, and the community to deliver nationally consistent, responsive, and effective regulation of service providers. They seek to uphold the rights of, and promote the health, safety, and wellbeing of people with disability receiving supports or services.
About the role:
The APS6 Project Officer will provide detailed technical, professional, policy, operational support and advice in relation to complex problems relating to fraud and other integrity issues that may affect the Agency. You will be required to coordinate and assist in the strategic planning, program and project management and policy development that support the Agency’s objectives.

About the role:
The APS6 Project Officer will provide detailed technical, professional, policy, operational support and advice in relation to complex problems relating to fraud and other integrity issues that may affect the Agency. You will be required to coordinate and assist in the strategic planning, program and project management and policy development that support the Agency’s objectives.
Responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:
- Support the development and implementation of project plans and schedules in accordance with the Agency’s project management framework and considering project interdependencies.
- Performing independent research work and analysis including the preparation of draft reports on relevant project activities.
- Completing regular project reporting including status updates and exception reports.
- Completing written material including business cases, plans, executive briefs and corporate documentation.
- Monitoring project budgets, review and report on expenditure and assist with procurement and contract management.
- Identifying, assessing, managing, escalating, reporting and monitoring project risks, issues and benefits, including developing treatment strategies.
- Contributing to project quality management to ensure that project deliverables are fit for purpose and meet client needs.
About You:
You’ll bring your experience in project management, stakeholder engagement and coordination.

- Demonstrated project management experience with successful achievement of project outcomes
- Excellent research and problem-solving skills and the tenacity to stay with an issue until it is resolved.
- Demonstrated stakeholder engagement experience with excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent time management and planning and organisational skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and customer service orientation.
- Excellent team-working skills.

- Applicants must hold Australian citizenship.
- Be willing to undergo an Australian Federal Police Check and completion of the Agency’s screening checks, including; Working With Children Check, NDIS Worker Screening Check.
