Our NSW State Government client creates, manages and cares for many of Sydney’s unique and iconic harbourside locations.
 
They are currently seeking a Business Support Officer for an initial 12-month assignment based at The Rocks, NSW.
 
As the Business Services Officer you will play a key role in supporting all areas of the organisation. You will thrive in a fast-paced environment, driven by your passion for assisting others. Your day will be filled with supporting the office by managing and supporting key stakeholders with coordinating meetings, triaging and addressing inquiries at reception, and assisting with file management.
 
Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
  • Assisting with reception duties, including triaging phone calls and managing enquiries and complaints.
  • Assisting the Executive Assistant with organising meetings and correspondences.
  • Provide basic technical support for the office, including meeting set up and logging of issues with IT department.
  • Provide or source advice, and operational support for a wide variety of business matters.
  • Draft correspondence, briefing notes and reports.
About you:
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Strong administration skills, with excellent attention to detail.
  • Competent with Microsoft Office suite, in particular Outlook.
  • Confident with and able to pick up new computer systems quickly.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities with flexibility while maintaining high work standards and accuracy.
  • Experience in building relationships both with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Previous experience within government agencies would be desirable.
