They are currently seeking a Claims Assistant to join their team immediately to assist with claims related to the recent NSW regional flooding events. About the Role
As a Claims Assistant, you’ll work within a high-performing loss adjusting team, providing essential administrative and customer service support. You’ll help ensure claims are managed efficiently and compassionately for affected policyholders.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Registering new claims and coordinating appointments for loss adjusters
- Making first contact with policyholders and brokers
- Managing claim documentation and correspondence using internal systems
- Maintaining clear and proactive communication with all stakeholders
- Preparing schedules of loss and supporting claims reporting
- Assisting with escalations, invoicing, and compliance with service level agreements
- Providing support to other team members during periods of leave or surge
This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, organised, and committed to providing empathetic service during challenging times. You bring a proactive attitude and thrive in structured, fast-paced environments.
You’ll have:
- At least 12 months of professional experience (insurance, claims, or administration highly regarded)
- Strong customer service skills, with confident written and verbal communication
- High accuracy in data entry and document handling
- Ability to prioritise tasks and work independently
- Competence with Microsoft Office and claims systems
- A professional, compassionate approach to supporting clients experiencing distress
