Job description

  • State Government opportunity in Griffith
  • 3 month contract (possible extension)
  • $39.56 per hour + super
Out State Government Client is currently seeking 2 x motivated Client Service Officers who are passionate about making a difference to join their Griffith team in providing Housing Services to the community.
Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
  • Work directly with clients and their advocates to provide advice and assistance on housing options based on assessment of eligibility and client need and in keeping with relevant legislation, policies and procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with internal specialists and external service providers and make referrals where additional support requirements are identified to better meet client needs.
  • Manage tenancies and support clients to maintain successful tenancies.
  • Support tenancy and community participation initiatives to contribute to harmonious neighbourhoods and stronger communities.
  • Manage client information to ensure confidentiality, accuracy and integrity.
  • Monitor property condition and facilitate maintenance and minor modifications where necessary to meet client needs.
The successful candidate will:
  • Possess a valid Drivers Licence
  • Be able to commit to the full length of contract and be happy to work 5 days per week in the Griffith office
  • Have previous experience in a customer service or client support role (experience within community services or housing is desirable)
  • Possess strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients from diverse backgrounds
  • Be competent in utilising various computer applications
