Job description

Our client is currently seeking two Communications Officer to join the team within a State Government Department based in the Adelaide CBD.

Communications Officer
The Communications Officer will support the development and delivery of digital communications and engagement activities to stakeholders. This includes crafting EDMs, SMS campaigns, and digital content using CRM platforms such as Mailchimp and Dynamics. The role will also support the review and improvement of existing communication products.

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
• Develop and implement communication strategies and campaigns.
• Create accessible, plain English content across digital platforms.
• Coordinate the production of visual and video content.
• Monitor and report on communication performance.
• Build and maintain stakeholder relationships.
• Support internal and external communication activities, including newsletters and forums.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:
• Proven ability to develop communication strategies, frameworks, evaluation methodologies, and governance structures, such as policies and procedures.
• Experience in delivering digital campaigns.
• Advanced skills in the production of high-quality communication products, including researching, analysing, evaluating, and implementing creative solutions.
• Demonstrated experience in the application of communications and branding guidelines and policies.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Relevant qualifications and/or experience in communications, marketing, and/or public relations.


Communications and Events Officer
The Communications Officer will support the development and dissemination of diverse communications and engagement activities to stakeholders. The role develops, coordinates and reports on events, video and digital products, and website copy and designs and delivers communications to key stakeholders. The Communications and Events Officer provides expert communications advice, produces high-quality products and assists with stakeholder engagement events.

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
• Coordinate events and engagement initiatives.
• Develop written, visual, and video content across platforms.
• Support the delivery of internal and external communications.
• Provide expert advice on communication and event strategies.
• Build relationships with partners, and suppliers.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:
• Experience in the planning and delivery of communications, engagement and event management functions and services.
• Demonstrated experience in coordinating and undertaking the production of high-quality communication products across multiple platforms and channels,
• Demonstrated knowledge of communication, engagement and event management principles, practices and systems.
• Demonstrated knowledge of graphic design principles and practices for both digital and print media and products, and content development tools including the Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Creative Suites.
• High-level interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills to effectively negotiate, present and articulate complex concepts clearly and concisely and to develop written content and communication products for diverse communication channels in a customer service environment.
