Customer Service & Administration Officer
$40/hr Casual | Immediate Start | Full-Time Contract (26 May – 30 June 2025) - Casual assignment in that there are no leave entitlements and the casual loading is already included in the hourly rate provided. 

DFP Recruitment is a preferred supplier to local government and public sector organisations across WA. We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established Local Government Authority for an experienced Customer Service & Administration Officer to join their team for a full-time temporary assignment.
This is a great short-term opportunity for someone with strong administrative and customer service skills, available to hit the ground running in a busy front-facing team.
Key Details:
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Location: Eastern Suburbs (Civic Centre)
  • Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm (1hr lunch break)
  • Duration: Until 30 June 2025
  • Rate: $40/hour (inclusive of casual loading)
Key Responsibilities:
  • Handle incoming calls and operate a busy switchboard, directing enquiries to the appropriate department.
  • Provide high-quality customer service at the front counter and over the phone.
  • Assist with general administrative support, including registering applications, preparing correspondence, and data entry.
  • Support internal departments such as Building, Planning, and Health Services with document processing and records management.
  • Maintain up-to-date customer information, brochures, and internal directories.
  • Assist with the coordination of resident information packs and promotional materials.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a front-line customer service role and administrative support.
  • Experience operating a switchboard and handling high volumes of enquiries.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a calm and professional manner.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel).
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise effectively, and maintain confidentiality.
  • A valid National Police Clearance (within 12 months) or willingness to obtain one.
