DFP Recruitment is Seeking an experienced Data Analyst and Engineer to join one of our key government clients responsible for national research initiatives.
This role will be responsible for ETL (extract, transform and load) data from the existing date infrastructure (on-premises SQL data warehouse) to a cloud-based data infrastructure, with improved data development practices and contributing to development of data assets (including Power BI reports) and enhancements to exiting data assets, which are used to improve the data reliability and visibility for the whole organisation.

Key Skills:
  • Sound technical skills, including proficiency with or ability to learn various programming software and data management products, such as Visual Studio/SQL Server, Python, R and Power BI.
  • Strong organisational conceptual, analytical and problem-solving skills, including strong attention to detail and the ability to develop and document consistent processes.
  • Good written skills, with the ability to translate findings from analysis to written reports for both technical and non-technical audiences Data Analyst
  • Expertise across a range of data analytics algorithms and tools and a detailed understanding of data analysis, translation, and visualisation concepts.
  • Strong machine learning using Python or R for predictions of outcomes such as text classification. Data Engineer
  • Demonstrated expertise in ETL and analysing complex data sets in cloud-based environment, and experience in developing complex data sets to meet business requirements.
