Our Client is a Federal Government body that supports Australians and their families by valuing a positive contemporary attitude to disability. They are currently seeking skilled individuals for three exciting roles within the Research and Evaluation Branch within this growing Federal Government department with their mission to shape policies and practices through robust evidence and pioneering approaches.

1. EL1 Assistant Director Evidence-based Practice

As the EL1 Assistant Director of Evidence-based Practice, you will be at the heart of ensuring our policies are rooted in sound evidence. Your role will involve:
  • Utilising your expertise in evidence-based practice, knowledge translation, and implementation science to support our projects.
  • Collaborating with internal and external partners to transform research into actionable strategies.
  • Spearheading initiatives to encourage evidence-informed decision-making, including fostering online learning and communities of practice.
  • Crafting resources that effectively communicate research discoveries to diverse audiences.
  • Supporting the infusion of evidence-based methods into policy and practice.
  • Maintaining meticulous records of projects using dedicated research software.
  • Developing internal reports and presentations for stakeholders that distill findings into actionable insights.
  • Expertise in evidence-based practice and knowledge translation preferred. 
2. EL1 Assistant Director Practice Leadership
Step into the role of EL1 Assistant Director for Practice Leadership and drive positive change in how we serve our customers. Key responsibilities include:
  • Leveraging your expertise in knowledge translation, implementation science, and behavioural insights to support projects related to workforce development and education.
  • Designing and leading the development of a practice leadership approach that enhances our workforce's consistency and evidence-based nature.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate evidence-based approaches into policy and practice.
  • Nurturing relationships across the organization to facilitate knowledge exchange.
  • Maintaining comprehensive project records using research software or platforms.
  • Crafting internal reports and presentations that make complex findings accessible to stakeholders.
  • Embracing management tasks as required to contribute to broader organizational goals.
  • Promoting the pivotal role of the Research and Evaluation Branch.
  • Expertise in behavioural insights, workforce development and knowledge translation preferred. 
3. EL1 Assistant Director Evidence Synthesis
Join as the EL1 Assistant Director for Evidence Synthesis to contribute to generating reliable research evidence that informs our decisions. Your responsibilities will encompass:
  • Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to develop and manage project plans.
  • Designing protocols for various types of evidence reviews, from environmental scans to systematic reviews.
  • Conducting thorough literature searches aligned with established standards.
  • Engaging in research according to documented protocols for data extraction, quality appraisal, and synthesis.
  • Managing project-related records, utilizing dedicated research software and platforms.
  • Engaging stakeholders to interpret research findings and facilitate their practical application.
  • Crafting comprehensive research reports and recommendations tailored to diverse stakeholders.
  • Providing methodological expertise in research methods, psychosocial disability, early childhood interventions, and more.
  • Supporting the growth of junior staff and leading or assisting broader Branch projects.
Qualifications:
For all roles, qualifications in disability, allied health, public health or related discipline (PhD or post grad qualifications) preferred.

These roles are at the EL1 level equivalent offering $602.55 per day 11% super. The rate of pay is casually loaded, as you will not be accruing annual or sick leave.
