Job description

  • Locations: Surry Hills (NSW), Richmond or Geelong (VIC), Deakin (ACT)
  • Contract Length: 12-month contract, with the possibility of extension
  • Pay Rate: As per market standard (depending on experience)
  • Hours: 37.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday)
  • Work Setup: Hybrid
  • Security Clearance: Must be able to obtain Baseline Security Clearance
  • Payment Frequency: Weekly
This opportunity is for EL1 Business Analysts to join a federal government body focused on supporting people with disabilities through effective regulation of service providers. The role is part of the Data and Analytics Branch, which provides high-quality data and insights that drive business performance improvements for the agency.

Role Responsibilities:
  • Develop a traceability framework for project team members to follow to ensure all project deliverables link to an agreed business outcome via succinct and unambiguous business and technical requirements.
  • Elicit and document business and technical requirements to support the strategy and goals of the Agency as they relate to the Data & Analytics transformation program.
  • Analyse and document business process and data flows to provide current and future state context to support business and technical requirements.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure appropriate stakeholders are included in the
  • development of business and technical requirements, including facilitating relevant
  • workshops, meetings, working groups, etc.
  • Review and provide feedback on business and technical design documents to ensure designs align with expected business outcomes, as captured by business and technical requirements.
  • Input to the design and implementation of solutions that deliver to the business and technical requirements and meet the expected business and technical outcomes.
Skills required:
  • Demonstrated expertise leading hands-on business and technical requirement development and stakeholder validation in a large-scale business data and analytics transformation program.
  • Experience implementing Cloud Data Platform and/or Analytics applications and accompanying data architecture (e.g. Data Models, ETL, data governance, security).
  • Demonstrated expertise documenting data and process flows to analyse and provide context to business and technical requirements.
  • Experience in working with diverse project, in-house development, and vendor teams to deploy complex, integrated technologies and effect business change.
  • Experience as a scrum master and proficiency with data analysis.
  • Experience with SAS Viya 4 platform.
