Job description

  • Federal Government opportunity in Parramatta
  • 12 months Contract with possible extension
  • $602.55 per day + super
  • Hybrid work arrangement
As an EL1 Procurement Capability Specialist, you will operate under broad direction to spearhead complex initiatives that drive quality outcomes across the procurement functions of our esteemed client. Your responsibilities will include independent problem-solving, strategic policy advice, and proactive stakeholder management to effectively advance organisational interests.
 
Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
  • Lead the Procurement Capability Programme delivery.
  • Implement recommendations from the procurement training needs analysis report.
  • Support business engagement on procurement principles and strategy.
  • Develop engaging procurement content for agency-wide dissemination.
  • Manage agency-wide procurement communications and notices.
  • Cultivate and manage stakeholder relationships through business area engagements and presentations.
  • Administer and analyze the procurement capability questionnaire.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:
  • Experience successfully leading a program of work with a high degree of autonomy.
  • Deep understanding of Commonwealth Procurement Rules and related legislative frameworks.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with proven influence and negotiation abilities.
  • Strategic thinker with demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of developing impactful content and delivering persuasive presentations.
  • Experience delivering technical training to a diverse audience..
