Job description

Our client is seeking Field Officer(s) for an exciting short-term project located in Karratha, WA.  

Start: ASAP (preferably next 2 weeks) 

Pay: Rate will be discussed upon application
Location: Karratha, WA
Hours: Full-time - 37.5 hours per week
Duration: Until May 2024 
Type: Temporary casual contract  (no leave entitlements)

 
About the role:
As a Field Officer you will play a crucial role in preventing and managing biosecurity risks. Your work will have a direct impact on protecting animals, plants, agriculture, and aquatic environments from pests and diseases. 

We are looking for individuals with:   
Passionate about the prevention and management of biosecurity risks. 
Experience undertaking field, regulatory, surveillance, and/or inspection activities. 
Certificate III in Agriculture or equivalent (Desirable criteria, not essential). 
Demonstrated experience in compliance and investigations is desirable. 
Candidates with experience in mining may have transferrable skills.

Requirements:
Full working rights within Australia 
Able to obtain a clean National Police Clearance (dated within 3 months) 
Previous experience and/or studies in biodiversity is highly regarded although not necessary
