Financial Accounting Manager | $80–$90/hr + Super | 3-Month Contract with Poss Ext 

Our state government client is seeking an experienced Financial Accounting Manager for an immediate start in their Perth CBD office.

Rate: $80-90 per hour plus Super (depending on relevant experience)
Hours: Full-time – 37.5 hours per week
Duration: Initial 3-month casual contract with possibility of extension
Location: Perth CBD
Type: Temporary casual contract (no leave entitlements – casual loading included in rate)

Role: Financial Accounting Manager

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead financial accounting and reporting in line with government policy, legislation, and Australian Accounting Standards
  • Oversee preparation of annual financial statements and reports
  • Provide expert financial and taxation advice
  • Manage audits, cash flow reporting, and Chart of Accounts integrity
  • Ensure FMIS data accuracy and system capability
  • Develop and implement financial policies and support compliance with Treasury
  • Stay informed on emerging accounting practices and lead continuous improvement
Essential Requirements:
  • Extensive experience leading financial/accounting teams
  • Strong knowledge of AASB, FMA 2006, and Treasurer’s Instructions
  • Tertiary qualification in Accounting and membership with CPA, CAANZ, or IPA
  • Current National Police Clearance and full Australian working rights
  • Full working rights within Australia
