Are you passionate about delivering high-quality payroll services and supporting HR functions in a dynamic and collaborative environment? We’re looking for a detail-oriented and proactive HR and Payroll Officer to join our team and make a meaningful impact across our organisation.

About the Role
As a key member of our clients HR team, you’ll support the Senior HR Officer (Payroll & Systems) in delivering accurate and timely payroll services while contributing to broader HR initiatives. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on precision, enjoys problem-solving, and values continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
Payroll Focused Duties:
  • Process payroll with accuracy and within agreed timeframes.
  • Perform payroll checks and maintain personnel records in line with relevant legislation and policies.
  • Provide scheduled and ad-hoc payroll reporting.
  • Respond to payroll queries from employees and managers with clarity and professionalism.
  • Ensure compliance with industrial instruments, legislation, and internal policies.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement.
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation of payroll processes.
  • Assist in managing the HR mailbox.
General HR Support:
  • Provide administrative support across HR functions.
  • Contribute to the development and review of HR policies and procedures.
  • Conduct research into HR matters and assist with HR projects.
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
  • Experience using a Human Resources Information System (HRMIS) for payroll processing.
  • Ability to interpret and apply relevant legislation, awards, agreements, and policies.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Desirable:
  • Experience using Aurion HRMIS for payroll functions.
