The Position:
As a Claims Assistant, you will receive full onsite professional training to undertake various administrative tasks and provide support to building supervisors, customers, and clients.
This role is based in Drouin and involves the following responsibilities:
- Monitor and update client portals for customer service tasks
- Handle inbound telephone calls via a 1300 line and voice/email service
- Complete initial customer contact and triage of claims
- Lodge new requests and allocate work orders to appropriate trades
- Maintain existing claims and coordinate project timelines
- Arrange site assessment bookings and confirm dates/times with customers
- Provide progress updates to customers and monitor portals
- Conduct weekly reviews of jobs with building supervisors
About You:
The ideal candidate for this role will possess the following qualities:
- Excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)
- Exceptional time management and attention to detail
- Willingness to learn and develop both professionally and personally
- Empathetic and resilient, able to work with sensitive situations and vulnerable people
- Prior experience in insurance is advantageous but not mandatory
