Job description

Position: Management Accountant 

DFP Perth are seeking an experienced Management Accountant to engage on a temporary contract with a State Government agency based in Perth’s CBD 6000.  

Start Date: Immediately  
Length of Assignment: 6 months with possible extension 
Location: Perth CBD 6000 
Hours: 40 hours per week  
Pay Rate: Level 5 – $96, 307.00 per annum 

Role Description: As a Management Accountant you will be instrumental in preparing financial modelling, reporting, business cases, and funding submissions. Your responsibilities will include collaborating with various divisions to compile and present activity-based costing. Additionally, you will contribute to the development, implementation, and review of finance projects. 

Responsibilities:
 
  • Preparation of activity-based costing. 
  • Development of financial modelling for project expenditure, cash flow, and reporting. 
  • Assistance in preparing financial reports, business cases, and funding submissions. 
  • Collaboration with divisions to present activity-based costing. 
  • Contribution to the development, implementation, and review of finance projects. 
  • Support in annual review of Tariffs, Fees, and Charges (TF&C). 
  • Assistance in service costing and performance indicator calculations. 
  • Analysis of complex financial data and reporting on project performance. 
  • Undertaking full-year forecasting for various projects. 
  • Providing financial advice related to government budget policies. 
  • Liaison with stakeholders within and outside the finance division.

Special Requirements: All Department positions require a national police check. 

Requirements: 
  • Demonstrated experience in financial modelling. 
  • Proficiency in financial services. 
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Tertiary qualification in accounting or related discipline preferred. 
  • Demonstrate behaviors within the leadership context of Personal Leadership.
