About the Role:

A large Federal Government department is seeking an experienced ICT Procurement Officer with hands-on knowledge of Net Zero strategies. This role is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the department's Net Zero goals by coordinating, developing, and delivering the department's Net Zero strategy and reporting requirements.

Daily your key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
  • Engage in Net Zero workshops, communities, and networks both internal and external.
  • Conduct research and provide advice on ICT-related emission reduction options.
  • Review and update ICT procurement documentation in relation to Net Zero strategies.
  • Develop and manage the implementation of IMD’s Net Zero strategy.
  • Draft Net Zero reports for diverse audiences within IMD through effective communication and collaboration.
  • Coordinate, research, and report on current and proposed new Net Zero initiatives.
  • Advocate for Net Zero targets, emission reduction strategies, actions, and progress within IMD.
Essential Criteria:
  • ICT Procurement Knowledge: Understanding of the breadth of ICT procurements undertaken by large Government organizations.
  • Sustainable Procurement: Strong understanding of sustainable ICT procurement, including hardware, software, and services.
  • Research and Consulting Experience: Experience in undertaking research, consulting across Government, and providing advice on ICT-related emission reduction options.
  • Knowledge of Frameworks: Familiarity with legislative, financial, and administrative frameworks, guidelines, and policies, with the ability to apply them practically.
  • Adaptability: Responsive, flexible, and able to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Initiative: Ability to take initiative and work under limited direction.
  • Communication and Networking: Proven ability to communicate clearly and build networks to deliver outcomes.
  • Demonstratable experience with MS Visio, MS 365 suit and EDRMS will be highly regarded.
