Our client, a leading engineering company that specialises in the Defence Maritime, Antarctic Shipping and Oil and Gas Industries, currently has a  great opportunity for a trade qualified Plumber to be involved in an exciting maritime defence project.  

Initially a 6 month requirement, strong candidates may be identified  for potential long term ongoing future opportunities.

Working within a supportive close knit team, you will be exposed to a new environment where you will  be utilising your plumbing fit-out experience on this unique project.  This role will suit candidates with a varied skillset who are comfortable to undertake some non-trade general handyman duties as required.
This attractive long term opportunity will suit candidates with a sound focus on quality and safety.
Based at Osborne, with on-site car parking, you will be rewarded with an attractive hourly rate commensurate with your experience.

Plumbing qualifications are essential

Skills and competencies required:
  • Capable of taking instructions both written and verbal
  • Capable of maintaining OH&S standards
  • Ability to carry out required work to high standards
 
Responsibilities:
  • Punctuality
  • Time management to ensure that jobs are completed efficiently
  • Record keeping of daily timecards
  • Quality of workmanship
  • Maintain OH&S requirements
  • Notification of any unsafe acts or conditions
  • Request correct materials and consumables
  • Inspect and signed off job/project with Quality Inspector
  • Follow all Procedures that relate to this position
 
We are looking for a self-motivated trade qualified plumber who has the skills and is comfortable to be involved in a variety of fit out related activities.
