EL2 Procurement Specialist
DFP Recruitment is a preferred supplier of choice to Federal Government departments and agencies. I am partnered with a Federal Government Agency to recruit a Procurement Specialist at the EL2 level. This position is based in Canberra and offers hybrid and flexible work arrangements.
About the role:
You will be responsible for reviewing current procurement policies and procedures, identifying any gaps, and recommending updates to ensure alignment with Commonwealth Procurement Rules (CPRs) and internal governance standards.

About the role:
You will be responsible for reviewing current procurement policies and procedures, identifying any gaps, and recommending updates to ensure alignment with Commonwealth Procurement Rules (CPRs) and internal governance standards.
Responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:
- Conduct a thorough review of current procurement policies, procedures, frameworks and templates.
- Perform gap analysis to identify inconsistencies, outdated practices, or areas lacking clarity.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders/Corporate Procurement Team to validate findings and gather feedback.
- Draft recommendations for policy updates, new procedures and processes, or training initiatives.
- Support whole of organisation uplift and training activities, as well as change management implementation.
About You:
You’ll bring your specialist procurement experience and knowledge to this role, with a background in reviewing procurement policies and procedures to deliver recommendations.
Key skills required for this role:
- Minimum 4 to 6 years' experience in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of CPRs, PGPA Act, and probity principles
- Demonstrated experience in leading functions to deliver strategic procurement policy analysis and contract management
- Proven ability to conduct gap analysis and develop actionable recommendations

- Must hold a minimum Baseline Security Clearance.
