Senior Software Developer
 
Work type- 15-months contract  
Location - ACT
 
DFP Recruitment is seeking an experienced Senior Software Developer to join our Government Client team. 
 
Role responsibilities

Solution Architecture 

  • Spearheaded the design and architecture of a new system, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and technical best practices.
  • Partnered with external solution architecture consultants as needed to maintain consistency with enterprise architecture standards and leverage specialized knowledge in building scalable and secure systems.
  • Evaluated business and technical requirements to craft solution designs that are scalable, secure, and maintainable.
  • Provided strategic architectural guidance and oversight across the entire development lifecycle.
  • Authored comprehensive documentation covering solution architecture, integration approaches, and key technical decisions.
Software Development 
  • Modernized and transitioned Java web applications to a containerized infrastructure, enhancing scalability and deployment efficiency.
  • Engaged in daily software development tasks utilizing current development frameworks, tools, and agile practices.
  • Produced clean, efficient, and maintainable code, actively supporting the CI/CD process to streamline delivery cycles.
  • Worked closely with cross-disciplinary teams to design and implement resilient, high-performance software solutions.
  • Experience with container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes. Backend: Java / Spring Boot. Including legacy Java frameworks. Frontend: JavaScript, Vue.js, and other legacy front end frameworks. Database: Mostly MySQL. CI/CD: Jenkins. Version Control: Git Search: SOLR
Skills
  • Demonstrated experience in both solution architecture and senior-level software development. 
  • Strong understanding of enterprise architecture principles and design patterns.
