Job description

Our State Government client is seeking an experienced Project Coordinator for a period of 18-months in a Part Time capacity, based in Perth’s southern suburbs.  The role will be based in the Project Delivery team to coordinate and liaise with contractors and work closely with Project Managers.
 
As the Project Coordinator, your duties will include (but are not limited to);
  • Assisting with planning, coordination, and liaison between multiple business areas, project teams, stakeholders and vendors including:
    • Identification and sequencing of implementation tasks within agreed implementation schedule.
    • Coordination of implementation tasks including:
      • communications;
      • administration and coordination of recruitment, regional accommodation and relocation requirements for firefighters;
      • tracking of associated costs to meet government reporting requirements.
    • Monitoring / tracking of implementation progress against agreed schedules
  • Collation, preparation, analysis and distribution of relevant data and other information for meetings, presentations, reporting and to support decision-making as required.
  • Cost tracking and cost (re)classification to ensure that financial reporting is accurate and complete.
  • Reporting and cost analysis:
    • Royalties for Regions financial reporting (records for this expenditure must be maintained and reconciled on a regular basis according to Royalties for Regions funding and other financial stewardship requirements).
    • End-of-year financial reporting.
    • Cost analysis and collation of cost information for meetings and reporting as required.
    • Assisting with budget monitoring for initiative.
 
To be successful for the role, the ideal candidate will have;
  • Full Covid vaccination status unless a medical exemption has been provided by the Chief Health Officer.
  • Ability to Work From Home, as part of the Client’s
  • Well-developed analytical skills, with a demonstrated ability to work with data to support decision making and provide evidence of benefits realisation
  • High-level conceptual, analytical and report-writing skills, with the ability to present complex information effectively.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in cost tracking and administration
  • Well-developed planning and organisational skills including the ability to manage competing demands and meet deadlines.
  • Strong understanding of project coordination and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrate intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills.
  • Demonstrate excellent written and verbal skills.
